Welcome!  We are both the Psychology Club and the NMSU chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society for Psychology.  We call ourselves the Psychology Club because anyone with an interest in Psychology is welcome at all of our meetings and to participate fully in all of our events and activities.  There is no need to do anything to join the club; just connect with us via our Canvas page, our GroupMe group, and/or our Instagram group page (psichi_nmsu) to find information about the next upcoming event and then just show up!

Any student who meets the eligibility requirements (see below) for Psi Chi can also become a member of our chapter of the International Honor Society by (1) emailing a degree audit to our Membership Chair (currently Amanda Judge – ajudge04@nmsu.edu), (2) filling out an online application (www.psichi.org), and paying a one-time lifetime membership fee (www.psichi.org).  Note that this membership fee goes to the international honor society and not to NMSU.  Students do not need to be members of Psi Chi to participate in any club activities, but students need to be inducted members of Psi Chi to hold an officer position in the club.

Inductions into Psi Chi occur at the end of each Fall and Spring semester, and officer elections occur at the end of each Spring semester.  Please contact Dr. Guynn, the current faculty advisor, at mguynn@nmsu.edu with any questions or to be added to the Canvas page and the GroupMe group.
