Career Opportunities with a B.A. in Psychology

As a department in the College of Arts and Sciences, we believe that undergraduate students should pursue a broad-based liberal arts education with narrow specialization coming later in their academic career through on-the-job training or graduate education.  For this reason, the psychology program is designed to provide you with general skills such as the ability to understand people and to interact with them, and the ability to analyze and find solutions to people-related problems.  These abilities are important in many job settings and provide a strong foundation for your career goals in mental health, social services, law, human resources/labor relations, and marketing to name a few.
